Tehran - Saba: The Secretary General of the World Assembly of Islamic Awakening in Iran, Ali Akbar Velayati, today sent a congratulatory message to Sheikh Naim Qassem on his appointment as Secretary General of the Lebanese Hezbollah.
Tasnim International News Agency reported that Velayati said in his message: "Your selection, as you have always been at the forefront of the struggle against injustice and Zionism, and you have made every effort to implement the lofty principles of Islam and support the oppressed Palestinian people, shows that the leaders of the resistance, as in the past, are determined to stand firm and resist the criminal Zionist entity and liberate the holy city of Jerusalem."
In his message, he said, "I congratulate you on your appointment as Secretary General of the Lebanese Hezbollah, an appointment that reflects your merit and commitment, making you the ideal choice to succeed the martyr of the resistance, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. I send these congratulations to you, to our brothers in Hezbollah Lebanon, to the oppressed Palestinian people, and to the axis of resistance, asking God Almighty to grant you, the brave and courageous personality, and all the leaders of the resistance, success in confronting the usurping Zionist entity in this sensitive historical circumstance.
