Nablus - Saba:
Dozens of settlers stormed, last night, Joseph's Tomb, east of Nablus city.
Local sources reported, according to the Palestinian News Agency, that dozens of settlers stormed the Maqam Joseph, under the protection of the occupation forces, which were deployed in the area.
The sources added that the occupation deployed its forces in several areas in Nablus to secure the storming of the settlers, which led to clashes between youths and occupation soldiers, without reports of injuries or arrests.
Settlers also cut and uprooted dozens of ancient olive trees in the lands of Qaryut village, south of Nablus.
According to anti-settlement activist Bashar al-Qaryouti, citizens managed today to reach their lands adjacent to the settlement of ‘Elieh’, which the occupation prevents them from entering, and were surprised that settlers uprooted and cut down dozens of perennial olive trees, especially in the ‘Batisha’ area.
Since 7 October 2023, until October 2024, the occupation army and settlers carried out 16,663 attacks on the lands and properties of citizens in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, which led to the uprooting, smashing and damaging of a total of 14,280 trees, most of which are olive trees, according to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority.
