Brussels - Saba:
The Russian Federation considered that the European Union stands at the forefront of parties seeking to harass journalists and obstruct their work.
The Russian news agency "TASS" quoted a source in the Russian Permanent Mission to the European Union, saying on the occasion of the International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists, which is celebrated today, Saturday: "The European Union is carrying out an unprecedented campaign to pressure Russian journalists and correspondents and obstruct their professional activity, and without any justification, the broadcast of Russian media outlets is restricted or even completely banned."
The Russian source also noted that the EU blacklists Russian media workers, marks and even completely blocks their pages on social networks, fabricates cases, threatens and expels them, all with the aim of preventing the European public from receiving the truth that the bureaucrats in Brussels do not like.
It stressed that the pace of double standards and dividing journalists into acceptable and unacceptable has increased in light of these destructive actions of the EU.
The source noted that the "European bureaucracy" pretends not to understand what the unbridled support for the Ukrainian regime and the supply of weapons to it, which are used, among other things, to deliberately kill journalists, will lead to.
