The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today, Saturday, that Russian air defense systems destroyed, last night, 24 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory.
"Last night, an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack using drones on targets in Russian territory was stopped," Sputnik Agency quoted the ministry as saying in a statement.
“The Russian air defense systems on duty intercepted and destroyed 24 Ukrainian drones. Eight drones were shot down over the territory of the Kursk region, eight over the territory of the Bryansk region, two over the territory of the Belgorod region, three over the territory of the Oryol region, one over the territory of the Rostov region, one over the territory of the Nizhny Novgorod region, and one over the territory of the Crimea,” it added.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces almost daily target the Russian border regions of Crimea and the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk and Voronezh regions with drones and missiles, with the aim of sowing terror among civilians.
