The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, stated on Monday that the Israeli authorities' decision to cancel the agreement regulating the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) is a blatant disregard for the international community.
In a press release reported by Palestine Today Agency, Hamas condemned the decision as a violation of the United Nations Charter and international law, characterizing it as a sign of Israel's defiance against international legitimacy and humanitarian principles.
The movement argued that this action is part of a broader attempt by Israel to undermine international recognition of the Palestinian refugee issue, which has persisted since the displacement caused by Zionist forces over seventy years ago.
Hamas called on the international community to reject this decision and to reinforce the role of UNRWA, emphasizing the urgent need for humanitarian assistance in light of ongoing violence against the Palestinian people in Gaza.
