Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei emphasised that his country has very bitter experiences about different US administrations. Saying: What is important for Iran and the criterion for evaluation is the performance of the US administration.
Regarding the US presidential election, Baghaei said, as quoted by the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA): The election of the US president is in the hands of the American people.
‘We have very bitter experiences about the previous policies and orientations of different US administrations,’ he added.
He continued: ‘The election is an opportunity to review and reconsider previous misguided approaches. What is important for Iran and the criterion for evaluation is the performance of the US administration, he said.
