The agents of Taiz Governorate, Noman Al-Hamri, and Fouad Hayel Sinan Abdul Wasi Al-Shamsi, were briefed on the work of distributing maize seeds in the districts of Khadir, At Ta'iziyah, Maqbanah, and As Silw.
During the distribution, the solar agent explained that the distribution of Shami seeds and beans comes within the framework of the directions of the revolutionary leadership, the Supreme Political Council, and the local authority in the province to promote winter agriculture.
He pointed out that the distribution also comes within the framework of the agricultural expansion project in hard and neglected lands and supporting farmers through the Improved Seed Propagation Foundation. He pointed out that these seeds are white loans that are returned at harvest.
"Seeds are distributed through multi-purpose agricultural cooperatives or preparatory committees for winter emergency agriculture, which work to revive the agricultural revolution with improved crops, reduce the import bill, and contribute to achieving self-sufficiency in cereals," he said.
The director of the agricultural sector in the governorate, Eng. Abdullah Al-Janadi, pointed to facilitating agricultural needs and inputs by providing tillages, diesel, solar energy systems, improved seeds, and white loans.
