Sana'a - Saba:
The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expects rain of varying intensity and scattered in a number of governorates, and cold weather in five governorates during the next 24 hours.
The center said in its weather bulletin that it expects rain of varying intensity, sometimes accompanied by thunder, in the governorates of Saada, Hajjah, Al-Mahwit, Raymah, Ibb, Taiz, Lahj, Al-Hodeidah, and the highlands and plains of Tihama.
It is likely that scattered rain will fall on parts of the governorates of Amran, Sana'a, Dhamar, Al-Dhale'e, Abyan, Aden, Shabwa, western Marib, Al-Jawf, and the eastern and southern coasts.
According to the center, the weather may be cold in the governorates of Dhamar, Al Bayda, Sana'a, Amran and Sa'dah, with minimum temperatures ranging between 4-8 degrees Celsius.
It stated that the amount of rain that fell during the past 24 hours and was measured at some meteorological monitoring stations was as follows: Raymah: 46.3 mm, Taiz Al Hawban: 35.5, Hajjah: 23.4, Al Hudaydah Al Kadan: 22.5, Ibb: 16.3, Sana'a Haddah: 7.9, Ad Dali': 5.9, Abyan: 5.1, Al Mahwit: 2.5 mm.
Varying intensity rain fell outside the monitoring stations, including parts of the governorates of Sa'dah, Amran, Dhamar, Lahj, Aden, Shabwa and Marib.
The center warned citizens against being in valleys and flood channels, and against the decrease in horizontal visibility due to rain and fog, especially on mountain roads.
He called on citizens in mountainous areas, especially children, the elderly and workers during the night and early morning hours, to take the necessary precautions against the cold weather.
