Member of the Supreme Political Council Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor sent a cable of congratulations to the President of the International Mixed Martial Arts Association (MMA), Victor Drozdov, on the success of the World Mixed Martial Arts Championship held in Russia on November 21-23.

The member of the Political Council, Honorary President of the MMA Association in Yemen, expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the friendly Russian invitation, and the hosting of two of Yemen's champions in this tournament, in which more than one hundred and fifty players from 35 countries of the free world against the corruption of the West to the values of modern sports. Dr. Khalid Al-Ghailani and Captain Haitham Al-Mouallimi congratulated the two champions for their good performance and representation of Yemen.

He considered Yemen's participation in the tournament a first step for a broader Yemeni-Russian sports relationship.

At the end of the cable, Dr. bin Habtoor praised the appointment of Counselor Fuad Al-Ghaffari as a member of the Board of Directors of the International Mixed Martial Arts Association.
