Taiz province Security Department inaugurated on Tuesday the functions and competencies of the community police , its departments and sections, under the slogan "Strengthening the community relationship between the police and the community".
In a meeting held in this regard, acting governor Ahmed Amin al-Masawi emphasized the importance of security agencies playing their role in consolidating security , stability and promoting community tranquility.
At the meeting, which included the provincial deputy for defense and security affairs, Noureddine al-Marani, and the provincial security director, Brigadier General Shukri Mahyoub, al-Masawi stressed the importance of the neighborhood leaders' role in consolidating security and protecting society from enemy conspiracies.
The acting governor spoke about the seriousness of the stage the country is going through in light of the confrontation with the American, British and Zionist enemy. He added, "The neighborhood leaders bear a great responsibility before God Almighty in providing service and development projects for the neighborhoods they are in charge of."
He pointed out that since the beginning of the events, Taiz province has lacked accurate and effective security work, and the official side role has not been activated, and therefore many detailed reports have been missing from many of the neighborhood headmen who have been displaced. He stressed that the current stage should be a stage of work , implementation of tasks , specialties, away from randomness and improvisation.
Al-Masawi expressed hope that there will be accurate data and information about the residents of the neighborhoods, activating the role of the community in enhancing the state's efforts to maintain security and stability, implementing youth and sports activities in the neighborhoods, and using awareness and cultural courses for them.
At the meeting, which was attended by the province's mobilization officer Abdulrahman Al-Khalidi, Assistant Director of Security for Community Police Affairs Colonel Zakaria Al-Hansari pointed out the efforts made by the leadership and security services' members to enhance security and stability.
Al-Hansari praised the efforts of the officers , personnel of the provincial security department and their steadfastness in the most difficult circumstances despite the scarcity of resources.
