SANA'A, October 31. 2022 (Saba) - His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, Head of the Supreme Political Council, sent a cable of congratulations to His Excellency President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, President of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, on the occasion of the anniversary of the Algerian Liberation Revolution.
In the telegram, President Al-Mashat expressed his congratulations to his Algerian counterpart on the occasion of his country's celebrations of the 68th anniversary of the glorious November 1 revolution, wishing him continued health, and the brotherly Algerian people progress and prosperity.
He pointed out that the November 1 revolution represented a historical event in the march of the Algerian people, as it dazzled the world and was recorded in letters of gold, being one of the greatest epics of struggle against the forces of colonialism and aggression, and it was and will remain a beacon of enlightenment to combat injustice and aggression for all peoples of the world.
President Al-Mashat considered the Algerian liberation revolution on November 1, the culmination of the long history of the Algerian struggle against the French colonialism, and one of the most important lessons in insistence and adherence to freedom and independence, in which the Algerian people offered hundreds of thousands of martyrs until it was called the country of a million martyrs without despair and frustration. Until Algerian people gained their freedom and independence, and became an example for all peoples in general and Arabs in particular.
He stressed that the Yemeni people today, as they draw lessons from their past in the face of invaders and colonizers, look at the struggle of the Algerian people with great interest in their march to restore their liberation and complete independence in the face of the miserable attempts to occupy it, obliterate its identity, commit the most heinous crimes against it and confiscate its decision.
President Al-Mashat said, "Since the victory of the glorious Algerian revolution, Algeria has become at the forefront of countries in advocating the peoples' right to freedom and independence, paying major attention to the Palestinian cause and the issues of the Arab and Islamic nation, and continued this path until the day we witnessed the culmination of Algerian efforts to reunite the Palestinian people and unify the efforts of the Palestinian people." He added, "We in Yemen are following up on the readiness of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria to host the Arab Summit, and on this occasion we call on the members of the Algeria Summit to support the Palestinian people and work in the spirit of one team to serve the central cause of the nation, the Palestinian cause,"getting rid of foreign tutelage and hegemony, promoting Palestinian unification, and finding solutions to other Arab issues, in a way that serves the issues of our Arab nation and peoples, away from foreign interference and narrow interests.
President Al-Mashat affirmed Yemen’s aspiration for Algeria and the leaders of the Arab countries to stand with the will of the Yemeni people and their legitimate right to end the aggression, lift the siege that has been going on for nearly 8 years, restore its sovereignty and purify its lands from external occupation, and compensate for all losses, in order to help the Yemenis, crystallize solutions.
