SANA'A March 07. 2023 (Saba)- His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, Head of the Supreme Political Council, met today, Tuesday with the Head of the General Authority for Zakat, Sheikh Shamsan Abu Nashtan.
During the meeting, they discussed the activities of the General Authority for Zakat and its projects that it will implement during the holy month of Ramadan.
President Al-Mashat listened to a brief explanation of the economic empowerment projects of the General Authority for Zakat in Al-Hodeida province and the rest of the provinces in the fields of agriculture, professionalism, livestock, fisheries, bees and food processing.
He praised the economic empowerment projects sponsored by the General Authority for Zakat because of their developmental role, enabling poor families to be self-reliant and transforming them into productive and active families in society.
President Al-Mashat urged attention to the poor and needy in various aspects, and support for bakeries and charitable kitchens, which would alleviate the suffering of citizens in light of the conditions the country is going through and the repercussions of aggression and siege.
He directed the concerned authorities to cooperate with the Zakat Authority to overcome the difficulties to establish the third pillar of Islam.
