SANA'A March 21. 2023 (Saba)- His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, Head of the Supreme Political Council, met today, Tuesday, the President of the Supreme Judicial Council and members of the Council.
He also listened to what was accomplished during the past period and the most prominent difficulties and problems facing them.
President Al-Mashat heard from the President and members of the Judicial Council a brief explanation of what was accomplished regarding the visit to prisons in the month of Sha’ban, during which three thousand and 500 insolvent prisoners were released, and those who spent three-quarters of the period on the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan.
He also listened to what was accomplished during the past period and the most prominent difficulties and problems facing them.
President Al-Mashat praised the efforts of the Head and members of the Judicial Council, urging them to speed up the completion of cases, and to exert more efforts, especially in cases in which final judgments were issued, and to speed up the completion of cases at the Supreme Court.
He directed the establishment of more circuits in the Supreme Court, enabling them to expedite the completion of the cases before them.
President Al-Mashat stressed the need to pay attention to training and qualifying judges, pay attention to the curriculum of the Higher Judicial Institute, devise mechanisms , solutions to complete the backlog of cases before courts and prosecution offices.
