HAJJAH May 16. 2023 (Saba) - His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi al-Mashat, President of the Supreme Political Council, paid on Tuesday a visit to al-Sharafin districts in Hajjah province.
During the visit, the President inspected the work on the road of al-Shahel district in the province.
President al-Mashat directed the Roads and Bridges Maintenance Fund to quickly repair the potholes and implement protection works for the collapsed ferries and sections on Hajjah-al-Mahabesheh road, which connects a number of the province's districts.
He also directed the Salvation Government to quickly prepare a study to rehabilitate al-Mahabesha-Abs road, providing the necessary funding and implementing it in stages, provided that work begins in the first stage in al-Aqaba area knonw as Maamash area.
His Excellency the President directed that a study of Mahabesha-al-Miftah road should be conducted and included in the plans and priorities during the coming period when funding is available or funding is sought from donors.
Al-Mashat visited the progress of work in a number of roads that are being implemented and carried out with community initiatives in each of the districts of Mabyan, al-Mahabesha and al-Miftah, with the contribution of the Central Intervention Unit at the Ministry of Finance.
He directed to bring a machine to make a way for Bakil al-Meer district as well as bring air compressors for al-Muraba al-Sharqi districts to work alongside the equipment in implementing community initiatives.
His Excellency blessed the approval of work on the fourth phase of the initiatives, which will be implemented in partnership between the community and the Central Interventions Unit at the Ministry of Finance for 79 initiatives, and the start of implementation of 17 initiatives as a first stage out of 85 initiatives of digging, surveying and expanding roads in various districts in partnership between the local authority and the Interventions Unit through funding the Interventions Unit for equipment Diesel local authority.
The President of the Supreme Political Council directed the speedy completion of studies for 86 initiatives that were submitted to the leadership of the province from the community within a month so as to be the fifth stage of the initiatives.
