HODEIDA September 10. 2023 (Saba) - Mahdi Al-Mashat, Chairman of the Supreme Political Council, laid the foundation stone for a number of projects in Hodeida Province, on the occasion of the celebration of the anniversary of the Prophet’s birthday and the September 21 Revolution.
President Al-Mashat laid the foundation stone for 53 projects in the presence of the Prime Minister of the National Salvation Government, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, the Minister of Finance, Dr. Rashid Abu Lahoum, the Minister of Services and Development, Dr. Hussein Maqbouli, and the Governor of Hodeidah, Muhammad Qahim, at a cost of seven billion and 188 million riyals, funded by the local authority.
The projects were divided into 24 projects in the field of roads at a cost of three billion and 900 million riyals, 19 projects in the field of agriculture and initiatives at a cost of two billion and 500 million riyals, and ten other projects at a cost of 788 million riyals.
The Chairman of the Political Council considered the opening and laying of the foundation stone for these projects in conjunction with the celebrations of the anniversary of the Prophet’s birth in the year 1445 AH and the September 21 Revolution Day, as a culmination of the state’s approach to facing challenges and keeping pace with the provision of services to the people of Hodeida province.
The opening and laying of the foundation stone were attended by the Commander of the Fifth Military Region, Major General Yousef Al-Madani, the Minister of Electricity, Dr. Muhammad Al-Bukhaiti, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation, Dr. Radwan Al-Rubai, the Chairman of the General Authority for Zakat, Sheikh Shamsan Abu Nashtan, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), Nasr al-Din Amer, the head of the Rural Water Authority, Adel Bader, and the first deputy governor of the governorate, Ahmed Al-Bishri.
