SANA'A September 17. 2023 (Saba) - Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, Chairman of the Supreme Political Council, was briefed on Sunday on the progress of work on a project to pave, rehabilitate and expand services in the streets of Al-Sharai neighborhood in the Tahrir District in capital Sana'a.
His Excellency the President, accompanied by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Brother Yahya Ali Al-Ra'i, the Prime Minister, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, his Deputy for Economic Affairs - Minister of Finance, Dr. Rashid Abu Lahoum, the Director of the Office of the Leader of the Revolution, Safar Al-Sufi, and the Head of the Military Intelligence Authority, Major General Abdullah Al-Hakim, heard from the Secretary of the Capital, Dr. Hammoud Obbad to explain the components of the project, which costs 287 million riyals.
Obbad explained that the project includes stone paving with an area of 8,200 square meters, along with the water network and service infrastructure, with a completion rate of 71 percent, as well as the completion of the sanitation project, indicating that the project comes within the community initiatives projects implemented by the secretariat in various districts, a translation of the directives of the President of the Supreme Political Council to support and motivate. Initiatives to implement service projects, especially in the field of water and sanitation.
During the visit, His Excellency the President stressed the importance of encouraging and supporting community initiatives to implement projects that meet citizens’ needs and alleviate their suffering.
They were accompanied during the visit by the Secretary-General of the Municipality, Amin Jamaan, the First Undersecretary of the Municipality, Khaled Al-Madani, the Chairman of the Social Affairs Committee of the Municipality, Hamoud Al-Naqeeb, and a number of officials.
