BAYDA October 14.2023 (Saba) - During his visit on Saturday to Al-Bayda Province, Mahdi Al-Mashat, Chairman of the Supreme Political Council, laid the foundation stone for 244 service and development projects at a cost of five billion and 868 million and 861 thousand riyals.
Where His Excellency the President, along with the Deputy Prime Minister in the caretaker government - the Minister of Finance, Dr. Rashid Abu Lahoum, the Governor of Al-Bayda, Abdullah Idris, and the Chief of the General Staff, Major General Muhammad Abdul Karim Al-Ghamari, set aside 213 service and development projects at a cost of four billion and 78 million and 327 thousand riyals.
The projects for which the foundation stone was laid included 160 projects in the field of roads, at a cost of one billion and 820 million and 100 thousand riyals, eight agricultural projects at a cost of 753 million and 347 thousand riyals, and 38 projects in the field of water, at a cost of one billion and four million and 880 thousand riyals.
The projects for which the foundation stone was laid included seven service projects at a cost of 500 million riyals, which included the rehabilitation and preparation of Radaa Park, as well as the preparation of a new dump to remove waste in order to preserve the water basin, and the maintenance of some asphalt roads branching off from the main line for five projects, “Radaa Road - Al Bayda, Abs - Al Mansour Road, Radaa - Al Radmah Road, Radaa - Aqabat Al Rayashiya Road, Al Bayda - Mukayras Al Sawmah Road.
His Excellency the President also laid the foundation stone for 31 projects in the fields of roads, education, health, water, environmental sanitation, agriculture, and other projects at a cost of one billion, 790 million and 534 thousand riyals, including 16 projects funded by local and international organizations, five community initiative projects, and ten locally funded projects.
His Excellency the President stressed that laying the foundation stone for service and development projects in Al Bayda Governorate coincides with the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the glorious October 14 Revolution, which constituted a prominent event and a bright station in the history of Yemen’s struggle.
He pointed to the attention paid by the Revolutionary Leadership and the Supreme Political Council to Al-Bayda Governorate and placed it among the priorities of service and development projects for the year 1445 AH, in a way that contributes to improving conditions and providing services to citizens under the conditions of aggression and siege.
President Al-Mashat pointed out the need to pay attention to activating community initiatives in Al-Bayda Governorate and the contribution of the Central Emergency Interventions Unit in supporting initiative projects, which would move the wheel of local development in the governorate.
