SANA'A November 16. 2023 (Saba)-Rub’ Bani Qais Development Association in Bani Matar District of Sana’a province is implementing a community initiative to repair, build and pave a five-kilometre road at a cost estimated at five million riyals.
The people of the village of Al-Lajam in district of Bani Qais , with the participation of the Knights of Development, are working at a high pace to implement the initiative, which includes incision, surveying, expansion, stone cutting and paving work, as well as leveling and paving the parts affected by the floods on the old road.
The road linking Al-Hadab and Al-Thuluth subdistricts, which benefits more than 1,200 people, represents the main artery for a number of villages in the two subdistricts.
During the inspection of the progress of work, the coordinator of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsooq in the square, Mohsen Madar, and the coordinator of the Bunyan Foundation, Yahya Abu Al-Qasim, praised the efforts of the people of the region, the Knights of Development, and the Association of Isolation of the district of Bani Qais in constructing the road and repairing the damage resulting from the floods... pointing to the importance of community initiatives and voluntary work in meeting the society's needs.
In turn, the president of the association, Fouad Jaafar, confirmed that the people will continue to implement community initiatives, pointing out the importance of the initiatives in implementing service and development projects.
While the engineer of Bonyan Foundation, Muhammad Al-Matari, stressed the importance of activating the community role and involving it in local development and implementing initiatives to meet the needs of citizens for service projects.
