SANA'A January 15. 2024 (Saba) - President Mahdi al-Mashat, President of the Supreme Political Council, has received a phone call from President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ibrahim Raisi.
During the call, al-Mashat and Raisi discussed the developments taking place in the region in light of the continued Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the American-British aggression against Yemen.
Raisi renewed his country's condemnation of the American-British aggression against Yemen, stressing that the aggression is condemned by free peoples globally which indicates the aggression and criminality of the United States of America.
He expressed his country's thanks and appreciation to the Yemeni leadership and people for what they are doing to defend the oppressed Palestinian people, pointing to the greatly influential and effective role Yemen plays on the entity of the Israeli enemy.
Raisi pointed out that Yemen's decision to protect international navigation and prevent the crossing of Israeli ships or those heading to occupied Palestine was a brave and wise decision.
He stressed that after one hundred days of aggression, the victors today are the oppressed Palestinian people and their courageous resistance, despite the heinous crimes they are exposed to by the Israeli enemy entity.
The Iranian President extended his greetings to leader of the revolution Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi and to the Yemeni government.
For his part, al-Mashat expressed his thanks to the Iranian President for his country’s position in condemning the American-British aggression against Yemen and the role played by the Islamic Republic of Iran in standing with the oppressed Palestinian people, and the Zionist-American crime they are exposed to is unparalleled in the world.
He stressed that Yemen's position of support for Palestine comes from the religious and moral responsibility, which cannot be reversed, and it is the least that can be offered.
Al-Mashat pointed out that Yemen in standing with Palestine was anticipating all the reactions that could not prevent Yemen from continuing its position.
President al-Mashat stressed "If the Israeli aggression against the oppressed Palestinian people in Gaza continues, this will lead to the expansion of Yemen's operations against the Israeli enemy until the aggression and the siege imposed on Gaza are stopped."
The President brought his Iranian counterpart peace to Sayyed Ali Khamenei, the Iranian government and the Iranian Muslim people.
