SANA'A May 12. 2024 (Saba) - His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, Chairman of the Supreme Political Council, met , on Sunday with the heads of economic units and the President of the Chamber of Commerce in the Capital Municipality.
During his meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of Finance Dr. Rashid Abu Lahoum, the Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen Hashem Ismail, the Ministers of Health in the caretaker government Dr. Taha Al-Mutawakel, the Ministers of Industry Muhammad Al-Mutahar and Electricity Dr. Muhammad Al-Bukhaiti, the heads of the Tax Authority Abdul Jabbar Ahmed, the Customs Authority Adel Margham, and the Chamber of Commerce in the Capital Municipality Ali Al-Hadi, listened to the most prominent problems facing the private sector.
He directed a package of tax and customs facilities, and to provide all facilities to the private sector to improve the quality of products and promote local industries.
President Al-Mashat also directed the Ministry of Electricity to coordinate with the private sector to establish a joint stock company in the electricity sector.
He stressed that the concerned authorities should enhance coordination between the private and public sectors, provide facilities to the private sector, facilitate the entry of goods and provide foodstuffs to markets, and encourage the localization of local industry.
President Al-Mashat praised the role of the private sector and its assumption of national responsibility during the US-Saudi aggression and blockade, and providing the needs of the citizen.
