LONDON August 14. 2024 (Saba) - England striker Cole Palmer has expressed his hope of leading his English club Chelsea to trophies after extending his contract for two seasons.
The 22-year-old, who joined Chelsea from Manchester City in a deal worth £42.5 million ($54.7 million, €49.7 million) last September, has committed to London club in his new contract, media reports said on Wednesday.
"I am delighted to have signed this new deal," Palmer told Chelsea's official website.
He was voted the Premier League's Young Player of the Year this year, thanks to his goals, which included hat-tricks in back-to-back games at Stamford Bridge against Manchester United and Everton.
Chelsea, who finished sixth last season, begin the new campaign at home to champions Manchester City next Sunday.
