MOSCOW August 15. 2024 (Saba) -The Russian Space Agency "Roscosmos" announced today, Thursday, the successful launch of the "Progress MS-28" unmanned spacecraft to the International Space Station.
The agency said in a statement that the launch took place via the "Soyuz-2.1a" rocket from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.
According to the statement, the spacecraft transported approximately three tons of food, scientific equipment and other supplies necessary for astronauts at the International Space Station.
It is worth noting that "Progress MS" are space cargo vehicles developed by Russia for supplying the space station with goods, and are used to transport scientific equipment, water, oxygen and food to the station. When these vehicles are docked with the station, their jet engines can be used to adjust the station's orbit in space.
