At least 95 people have died as torrential floods caused by heavy rains swept through southeastern Spain and created chaos in the affected areas, which are now cut off from the rest of the country.
The official body responsible for coordinating relief operations said in a statement on Wednesday afternoon that "the number of deaths has risen to 95 people."
Emergency services have previously said they have difficulty reaching many towns and villages.
Since the beginning of the week, southern and eastern Spain has been witnessing heavy rains accompanied by strong winds, which led to deadly flooding in Valencia and the Andalusia region.
