Amman - Saba:
An earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale struck on Thursday morning, south of the Gulf of Aqaba, Jordan.
According to the Jordan Seismological Observatory, the tremor was 150 kilometres south of Aqaba at a depth of one year and about nine kilometres east of Sharm el-Sheikh, adding that the tremor occurred on the Dead Sea Fault.
According to the Jordanian News Agency, the tremor is considered a localised tremor and does not affect infrastructure.
