The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, called for focusing on ending the conflict, instead of focusing on banning the agency or finding alternatives to it.
Lazzarini warned that dismantling UNRWA in the absence of an effective alternative will deprive Palestinian children of the opportunity to learn, noting that the future of children's education is not addressed in the discussions of experts and politicians about replacing the agency.
