Tulkarm - SABA:

Today, Tuesday, Israeli occupation forces caused significant destruction to infrastructure and the property of Palestinian citizens in the Tulkarm and Nur Shams refugee camps. The ongoing assault has now entered its fourth hour.

The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that the occupation's bulldozers stormed various neighborhoods in Tulkarm Camp, including Al-Muqata’a, Qaqun, Al-Foul, Al-Madaris, and Al-Salam. They have razed and damaged streets and destroyed the main water line that supplies the camp, while simultaneously besieging the area from all entrances.

In Nur Shams Camp, the bulldozers of the occupation forces destroyed citizens' properties, including homes and commercial establishments, specifically in the Al-Manshiyya neighborhood. They also set fire to a shop owned by Ibrahim Al-Shabrawi in that area, causing the shop to be completely engulfed in flames. Additionally, they dismantled market stalls in the Al-Shuhada neighborhood of the camp.

Local sources indicated that a fire truck from the Civil Defense in the town of Anabta arrived at the camp, extinguishing the fire and preventing it from spreading to nearby shops.

WAFA also reported that the occupation forces deployed military machinery along all routes leading to the camps, imposed a strict siege, and stationed snipers on rooftops overlooking the camps, shooting at anything that moved.

Furthermore, the forces arrested Saleh Al-Ghanem from his home in the Masqoufa neighborhood in the Akhtaba suburb east of Tulkarm, assaulting him during the arrest.

The day began with the occupation forces storming the city with dozens of military vehicles and personnel carriers, accompanied by six heavy bulldozers, entering from the northern axis. Additional reinforcements then arrived from the western, southern, and eastern axes.

WAFA reported that several military vehicles emerged from gates in the separation wall west of the Sha’rawiya villages in the northern part of the governorate, they passed through the towns of Atil, Deir Al-Ghusun, Alar Triangle, Qaffin, Jarushiya, and Shuweika Suburb before reaching Al-Alimi Roundabout ("the Courts") west of the city.

The report added that occupation forces fired toxic gas canisters at citizens near Younis Roundabout in the northern part of the city.

Bulldozers also destroyed infrastructure along Muqata’a Street near the eastern entrance to Tulkarm Camp, around the Martyr Saif Abu Labda Roundabout, and along Nablus Street, which connects to the entrances of Nur Shams Camp, amid the sound of explosions echoing in these areas.

Earlier, military vehicles and bulldozers roamed through the streets of Tulkarm, obstructing the movement of cars and residents and resulting in severe traffic congestion on the city’s main roads.
