Gaza - Saba: The Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine condemned, Wednesday, in the strongest terms, the blatant violations practiced by the prison administration in the Zionist entity against the valiant Palestinian female prisoners in "Damon" prison.
The movement said in a press statement that the prison administration's confiscation of the jalabiyas, hijab and niqab and replacing them with gray sportswear without a hijab represents a blatant violation of their basic rights and a violation of all human values and international norms.
It stressed that imposing this forced clothing on Palestinian female prisoners comes in the context of a psychological war and a renewed assault on dignity within the framework of the open war against our people; it is a desperate attempt to humiliate the will of the free Palestinian woman who stood steadfast in the face of the most brutal methods of repression and abuse.
She considered that these aggressive measures are added to a long record of brutal practices practiced by the occupation against male and female prisoners, starting with deprivation of visits, solitary confinement, psychological and physical torture, and reaching the violation of their human rights.
