Moscow - Saba:
The Russian Foreign Ministry announced that it had summoned the Canadian Deputy Ambassador to Moscow to hand him a memorandum of protest over the accusations directed at Russia for allegedly preparing to carry out a sabotage act against NATO countries.
The ministry said in a statement that it had handed the Deputy Head of the Canadian Diplomatic Mission in Moscow an official memorandum of protest regarding accusations of "Russian planning against NATO countries by sending explosive materials by mail, including to addresses in Canada," noting that "Canada has always participated in the Western sanctions campaign against Russia, as relations between the two countries have entered their worst phase since the end of the Cold War."
