London - Saba:
The Palestinian ambassador to the UK, Hosam Zamlat, has held a meeting with UK foreign secretary, David Lamy, and secretary for Mideast, Hamish Falconer, in the UK foreign department.
The meeting highlighted the need for an immediate, inclusive ceasefire in Gaza to put an end to the Zionist massacres and displacement suffered by the Palestinian people, according to WAFA news agency.
The Palestinian envoy called on the UK, the current president of the UN Security Council, to enact a resolution giving Palestine full membership in the UN and recognizing the Palestinian State with Quds its capital.
London needs to take a clear stance at the Israeli illegitimate settlements, he told the two ministers, calling for sanctions on Israeli products and on UK firms yielding illegal revenues for activities in settlements based on Palestinian lands.
