Riyadh - Saba:
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad emphasized that the priority now is to stop the massacres and genocide in Palestine and Lebanon.
In a speech during the Arab-Islamic Summit in the Saudi capital Riyadh on Monday, President Assad said: "I will not talk about the historical rights of the Palestinians and the inevitability of upholding them, or our duty to support the Palestinian , Lebanese people and the legitimacy of the resistance in both countries, nor about the Nazism of the Zionist occupation, as this will not add anything to what many in the world know."
Last year, we emphasized the need to stop the aggression, and the outcome of the year was more martyrs and displaced persons in Palestine and Lebanon.
He continued: We offer peace, but we reap blood, and changing the results requires changing the mechanisms and tools.
Assad asked: What is the value of all the rights of the Palestinians if the Palestinians do not have the basis for them, which is the right to life?
"We have to determine our options... do we condemn, boycott or appeal to the international community. What is our implementation plan? We are not dealing with a state but with a colonialist entity. We are not dealing with a people, but with herds of settlers who are closer to barbarism."
The Syrian president said: "The issue determines the means, and the means is the basis for success, and here is the essence of our meeting today, which I hope will be successful and we succeed in making the right decisions."
