Muscat stock exchange index declines at closing

The Muscat Stock Exchange "30" index in Oman dropped by 11.01 points, or 0.23 percent, to close at 4672.02 points on Tuesday, compared to the previous session's close of 4683.02 points.

The Oman News Agency reported that the total trading value reached 7.58 million Omani riyals, reflecting a 22.6 percent decrease from the last trading session, which recorded 9.79 million riyals.

According to the Muscat Stock Exchange's report, the market value saw a slight decline of 0.044 percent, amounting to approximately 27.48 billion Omani riyals.

Foreign investor activity showed a net decrease in investments, with non-Omani purchases valued at 823,000 Omani riyals (10.86 percent of total trades) and non-Omani sales totaling 1.96 million riyals (25.89 percent). This resulted in a net decrease of 1.14 million Omani riyals, or a 15.04 percent drop in net foreign investment.
