The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today, Tuesday, that Russian air defense systems destroyed Ukrainian drones over Russian territory last night.
"Last night, an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack using drones on targets in Russian territory was stopped," Sputnik Agency quoted the ministry as saying in a statement.
"The air defense systems on duty destroyed 13 Ukrainian drones. nine drones were intercepted over the territory of Belgorod Province, two over the territory of Bryansk Province, and two of them were shot down over the territory of Kursk Province," it added.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces are targeting, almost daily, the Russian border areas in Crimea and the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk and Voronezh provinces with drones and missiles, with the aim of sowing terror among civilians.
