Muscat stock exchange index declines at closing

The Muscat Stock Exchange "30" index of Oman decreased by 11.2 points, or 0.24 percent, Thursday, to close at 4643.51 points, compared to the last trading session, which amounted to 4654.76 points.

The Oman News Agency said the trading value amounted to five million, 755 thousand and 351 Omani riyals, down by 37.6 percent compared to the last trading session, which amounted to nine million, 229 thousand and 245 Omani riyals.

The report issued by the stock exchange indicated that the market value decreased by 0.012 percent from the last trading day, amounting to approximately 27.44 billion Omani riyals.

The value of non-Omani purchases in the stock exchange amounted to 1,392,000 Omani riyals, representing 24.19 percent, while the value of non-Omani sales amounted to 1,158,000 Omani riyals, representing 20.12 percent, while the net non-Omani investment increased by 235,000 Omani riyals, representing 4.08 percent.
