The Palestinian Foreign Ministry affirmed that the Zionist enemy authorities' demolition of houses in the Al-Bustan neighborhood in Silwan town in occupied Quds is one of the manifestations of the large-scale ethnic cleansing crime that aims to displace more than 1,500 Palestinians.
“This crime is a translation of an official Zionist policy aimed at emptying Jerusalem of its original owners and pushing them to emigrate from it to replace them with settlers in the deepest and most heinous forms of forced displacement and ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian presence in occupied Quds , to consecrate its Judaization and annexation and link it to the Zionist depth,” the ministry said in a statement.
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry emphasized that all measures taken by the Zionist enemy in Jerusalem are illegal and null and void, in accordance with international law, signed agreements, international humanitarian law, the Geneva Conventions and UN resolutions, all of which state that Jerusalem is an integral part of the Occupied Palestinian Territory and is the eternal capital of the State of Palestine.
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry called on the international community, led by the Security Council, to assume its legal and moral responsibilities towards the violations and crimes committed against Jerusalem by the Zionist enemy authorities, and to preserve what remains of its credibility by implementing UN resolutions.
