In light of the Arab-Zionist conflict that has been going on for seven decades, most of the rulers of Arab and Islamic regimes loyal to the forces of global arrogance led by America, Britain and the Zionist entity, have always failed the causes of the nation, especially the first and central cause, “Palestine.”
Throughout its history, the Islamic nation has suffered setbacks, most notably the Crusades and the Mongol invasion, but the persistence of Muslims and the strength of their faith, trust and reliance on God gave them the confidence to face all challenges and dangers and triumph for the right in the face of falsehood by combining the elements of strength from unity and adhering to the option of resistance against enemies at various stages of its history.
What the Islamic nation is experiencing today in terms of brokenness, weakness and submission to colonial powers is similar to what happened at the end of the Abbasid Caliphate, when the Tartars invaded it and overthrew the Islamic state, which is the same thing, with the difference that the enemies planted the bastard Zionist entity in “Palestine” as a pretext for them to occupy Arab and Islamic countries and peoples and plunder the wealth and resources they possess.
The current situation of the Islamic nation is far worse than the previous conspiracies that targeted its human existence, and the sacrifices made by the Islamic resistance axis in Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen, Iraq, Syria and Iran are living proof of the progress of liberation from the hegemony of the colonial powers.
Arab and Islamic summits, consultations, meetings and gatherings have been held since the middle of the last century to discuss issues in the Arab and Islamic arena, foremost among which is the issue of Palestine, but unfortunately, their outcomes disappoint the hopes and aspirations of the peoples for freedom, dignity, independence and the defeat of the Zionist occupier from the occupied Arab territories.
More than a year after the Zionist war of annihilation in Gaza, with direct US and British participation and the fall of nearly 150,000 martyrs, wounded, prisoners and missing persons, the lazy Arab and Muslim rulers convened a summit in the Saudi city of Riyadh to discuss the ongoing Israeli aggression against Palestine and Lebanon and its implications for the region.
As usual, this summit did not come up with anything new and its outcomes were not at the level of the challenge faced by the Arab and Islamic peoples in the face of the Zionist, American and British aggression against Gaza, Lebanon and most anti-Israeli countries, and no courageous decisions were taken.
Considering the level of the crime committed by Israel and still today for more than a year in Gaza, and the siege, restriction and starvation of civilians, it was hoped that those gathered at the Riyadh summit, as a minimum duty, would categorize Israel as a terrorist entity and demand that the world classify it and stop supporting it with internationally prohibited weapons that kill civilians in Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Yemen.
However, those who hold dance festivals and attract Arab and foreign artists and entertainers to the countries of the Two Holy Mosques, in light of the great tragedy that the Palestinian and Lebanese people are living through, cannot hope to win the nation's causes, stop the distortion campaigns that harm Islam and Muslims, or support countries and factions that oppose the American, Zionist, and European project in the region.
In this regard, the leader of the revolution, Sayyid Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, said in a speech last Thursday, “We were heartbroken, saddened, angry and very sorry when the Saudi regime announced the Riyadh season, a season of dance and madness, in which it hosts a large number of Western teams from America and Europe that promote homosexuality, obscenity and vice, in conjunction with what is happening in Gaza from the terrible crimes of the Jewish-Zionist enemy and the great tragedy of the Palestinian people.”
He added, “The Arab regimes, and we mean most of them, lack seriousness and lack of will to move seriously towards what is happening in Palestine, in Gaza, and this is a clear thing, most of the Arab regimes did not have the seriousness and did not have the will to move seriously with the magnitude of responsibility as it should, even at the minimum; therefore, even with the last summit, which is the title of an emergency Arab and Islamic summit for 57 countries, it did not come out with any practical position or action, and this is sad and disgraceful.”
“They say that the summit represents all Muslims, a billion and more than half a billion Muslims, representing 57 Arab and Islamic countries, and an emergency summit, and it only comes out with a statement, a statement of demand, and a verbal demand, without any practical positions,
are these the capabilities of 57 Muslim and Arab countries? Are these the capacities, capabilities, weight and role of more than one and a half billion Muslims and Arabs? To come out with a statement that can be issued by an elementary school, that can be issued by one person, issuing a statement demanding, appealing, and presenting what they have presented, there is no practical action.”
