The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas confirmed Tuesday that the Zionist enemy authorities' demolition of al-Shiyah Mosque in the town of al-Mukaber in occupied al-Quds comes within the framework of the religious and cultural war they are waging against the city of al-Quds, its landmarks and its Islamic identity.
The movement said in a statement "The demolition of the mosque that was built more than 20 years ago in al-Quds is a new crime committed by the extremist Zionist entity government against our Palestinian people."
It pointed out that the Zionist enemy is working to escalate its aggressive measures in the city of al-Quds, with the aim of Judaizing it and tightening its control over it.
The movement stressed that the escalation of the dangers threatening al-Quds, its landmarks, mosques and churches, requires the Arab and Islamic nation, peoples, governments and organizations, to take immediate and effective steps to deter the Zionist enemy and impose the protection of Islamic and Christian sanctities, most notably the blessed al-Aqsa Mosque.
