American Institute: Abraham Lincoln carrier escaped after being targeted by Yemeni forces
[20/ November/2024]

Washington - Saba:

The US Naval Institute revealed last night that the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln left the Middle East after entering the US Seventh Fleet region, leaving the Middle East without an aircraft carrier for only the second time in more than a year.

A recent map published by the US military of its aircraft carriers in the world showed that the "Abraham Lincoln" is now off the Indian coast in the Indian Ocean after it was stationed in the Arabian Sea near the coast of Yemen.

The escape of the aircraft carrier comes after it was targeted by Yemeni forces last week, as the armed forces announced, on November 12, the implementation of two qualitative military operations targeting an aircraft carrier and two US destroyers in the Red Sea and the Arab Sea.

The Yemeni armed forces explained that the first operation targeted the US aircraft carrier "Abraham Lincoln" with a number of winged missiles and drones, during the preparation of the US enemy for hostile operations targeting Yemen. Stressing that the operation had successfully achieved its objectives and thwarted the air attack operation for which the enemy was preparing.

In a second operation, Yemeni armed forces targeted two U.S. destroyers in the Red Sea with missiles and drones. She stressed that these operations come in response to the ongoing US aggression on Yemen and its support for the Israeli enemy.

The Yemeni armed forces blamed the American and British enemies for turning the Red Sea into a zone of military tension and its repercussions on international navigation.

Military observers confirm that "the aircraft carrier "Lincoln" is out of readiness, and moved away from its previous place so that it became unable to launch planes from it to attack our country, explaining that the Yemeni armed forces removed the threat.

Lincoln's flight after the Yemeni operation is reminiscent of the escape of the US aircraft carrier Eisenhower, which fled after being targeted and pursued by Yemeni armed forces in the Red Sea with a series of operations during May and June.

Yemeni armed forces chased the US aircraft carrier Eisenhower in the Red Sea, targeting it with ballistic and cruise missiles and drones four times and forcing it to flee humiliatingly.

On May 31, 2024, the armed forces announced, for the first time, that the missile force and the naval force of the Yemeni armed forces carried out a joint military operation targeting "Eisenhower" in the Red Sea, with a number of winged and ballistic missiles, and the hit was accurate.

In less than 24 hours, on the first of June, the navy, missile force, and the Yemeni air force targeted, for the second time, Eisenhower in the northern Red Sea with several missiles and drones.
