An expanded meeting was held today under the chairmanship of First Deputy Prime Minister, scholar Muhammad Muftah, to discuss ways to activate development and service performance in Al-Bayda Governorate, in the presence of Deputy Minister of Local Administration Nasser Al-Mihdhar, Mayor of the capital Hamoud Obbad, and several officials.
During the meeting, Muftah stressed the importance of intensifying efforts to achieve local development, implementing service projects that meet the aspirations of citizens, with a focus on promoting agricultural development to achieve self-sufficiency, and preparing plans to increase crops in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture.
He also directed the development of an integrated plan for the next afforestation season, the preservation of trees because of their environmental and economic benefits, and urged the community to take initiatives in repairing roads and facing flood damage.
Muftah touched on the achievements of the September 21 revolution in enhancing security and economic stability despite the attempts of the forces of aggression to abort it, stressing the importance of continuing development efforts in various fields.
