Prime Minister Ahmed al-Rahawi and Speaker of the Shura Council Mohammed al-Aidaroos on Sunday participated in the launch event of the Yemeni Integrated Company for Electronic Financial Services in the Capital Sana'a, the "MB" wallet.

The wallet, which will provide multiple financial services to government agencies, the private sector and the general public, includes a number of institutions, companies, bodies and government economic funds with financial weight.

At the launch, the Prime Minister delivered a speech in which he indicated that everyone is meeting today under the roof of construction, change and development that the people seek and that befits their sacrifices, patience and heroism, explaining that the official launch of this wallet comes in conjunction with the launch of the stage of change, development and construction to provide as much advanced services as possible and establish them so that they are within reach of all our people.

He pointed out that the development witnessed by the armed forces in the field of military industries, especially missiles, drones and others, must include the financial, service and economic fields in a manner that is consistent with the development witnessed by our armed forces that befits the sacrifices of the dear Yemeni people.

Al-Rahawi said, "Today we inaugurate the launch and official operation of this financial portfolio, which is one of the outcomes of the diligent government work in which a group of economic government agencies participate, hoping that it will represent a strong addition and be a resource for the national economy and the financial and business market in general and an economic force."

He added, "This broad government support for this project adds a great deal of security and reassurance to the public because all those agencies that make up the portfolio have financial weight and possess the capabilities that make them a safe source for all those dealing with it and benefiting from the nature of its activity."

He explained that this financial wallet is distinguished and has all the elements of trust and security and includes a set of important services and advantages.

He noted the wallet's openness to multiple platforms, including banks and multiple ATMs, in addition to the widespread money transfer networks and other services that save time, cost and security and shorten many efforts and financial operations for all sectors.

The Prime Minister stated that in addition to the multiple and secure features that the wallet provides to the public, it is at the same time one of the important tributaries of the national economy, as it provides services that will inevitably contribute to reducing the use of banknotes.

He stated that it eliminates the need to print currency, which preserves the existing cash for a long time, which achieves the economic strength and value of the currency, stressing the wallet's contribution to efforts to combat money laundering and terrorist financing and combat all forms of corruption with regard to government payments and other services that save time, effort and cost.

He pointed out that this project is one of the government's directions seeking to automate all work and will contribute to accelerating the automation paths for the financial collection process of government fees and bill payments of all kinds and address the imbalances that accompany manual field collection.

Al-Rahawi expressed pride and appreciation for the continuity of government institutions, bodies and companies in developing, innovating and improving services.. considering this wallet as one of the outcomes of the slogan "A hand that protects.. and a hand that builds".

He continued, "Despite ten years of aggression, the wheel of construction and development in the military and civil fields is moving steadily upward, which indicates the wisdom of the leadership represented by Mr. Leader Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and the serious efforts of the loyal people of Yemen, whether they are citizens, employees or officials."
