The Undersecretary of Taiz province for Development Affairs, Abdul-Wasi Al-Shamsi, inspected on Sunday the sites of the two projects of the initiative to establish Al-Hadar & Al-Sayed checkpoints in Khadir district.
During the visit, the Undersecretary explained that the visit comes in implementation of the leadership's directives of the local authority in the province to assess the level of completion of the two projects, discuss the reasons for the stalled implementation and submit recommendations.
The deputy listened to a brief explanation from the head of the community committee of Al-Sayed checkpoint, Abdulmumin Abdulwali, about the obstacles, challenges and reasons for the stalled implementation of the project.
The director of the agricultural sector in the province, Engineer Abdullah Al-Jindi, pointed out the importance of implementing initiatives in the field of establishing, reclaiming , rehabilitating dams , water barriers and utilizing these projects for the benefit of agriculture in an effort to achieve self-sufficiency and food stability.
