UN: Enemy obstructs access our crews to besieged in northern Gaza Strip
[27/ November/2024]
New York - Saba:
The United Nations revealed that it has made 41 attempts this month to reach besieged Palestinians in northern Gaza with life-saving aid, but the Zionist enemy authorities have blocked all these attempts.

UN Deputy Spokesperson Farhan Haq said last night in a statement that the enemy authorities rejected 37 of these missions, noting that the four approved missions were met with obstacles on the ground and achieved only part of their missions.

He added that parts of northern Gaza have been under siege for more than 50 days, while the population has been subjected to intensive shelling and is in dire need of assistance.

Families who have fled northern Gaza in search of safety and shelter in Gaza City also face a severe shortage of supplies and services, as well as overcrowding and poor hygiene conditions, Haq said.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) emphasized that international humanitarian law makes it imperative to protect civilians and ensure that their basic survival needs are met, whether they stay put or flee.
