Gaza - Saba:
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) revealed the existence of a real famine threatening the lives of thousands of pregnant women in the Gaza Strip, due to the ongoing Zionist aggression.
In a post on its account on the X platform, UNRWA today referred to the humanitarian catastrophe resulting from the policy of starvation and thirst pursued by the occupation in Gaza.
It confirmed that there are about 50,000 pregnant women in Gaza, and that the region is expected to witness four thousand births next December.
The UN agency said that about 15,000 of these pregnant women may be on the brink of starvation. UNRWA pointed out that 2024 was the deadliest year for humanitarian workers, as 281 of them were killed worldwide, most of them UNRWA employees in Gaza.
