Sana'a- Saba:
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates reaffirmed the solidarity of the Republic of Yemen's leadership, government and people with the Palestinians in their legitimate struggle to establish their independent state on all national territory, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
"Today marks the anniversary of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinians, which was approved by the United Nations in 1977 in order to draw the world's attention to their suffering and the responsibility of the international community in this context, in addition to mobilizing international efforts to achieve the Palestinian people's legitimate right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement received by Yemeni News Agency (Saba).
The Ministry pointed out that the commemoration of this day comes as the Palestinians have been subjected to aggression, genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity for more than a year without precedent in history, which led to the martyrdom of nearly 44,000 and the injury of more than 105,000, most of them women and children.
The occupying entity has committed all crimes against the Palestinians in flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, especially the targeting of civilians and civilian objects, indiscriminate shell, forced displacement, collective punishment, the use of internationally prohibited weapons, starvation as a weapon of war, blockade, targeting relief workers, medical staff and journalists, torturing detainees and preventing the delivery of humanitarian aid.
The Ministry stressed that the international community must fulfill its humanitarian and moral duty to stop the aggression on Gaza by pressing for a binding resolution in this regard from the Security Council, severing relations with the Zionist entity, using the weapon of economic boycott, banning the supply of weapons to it, imposing sanctions on the Zionist entity, joining the South African case in the International Court of Justice, recognizing the Palestinian state, and suspending the Zionist entity's membership in the United Nations.
The statement pointed out that the inaction of the majority of Arab , Islamic countries and the complicity of some of them represented a green light for the Zionist entity to run amok in Gaza and cross all red lines.
The statement called on the free people of the world to continue solidarity with the Palestinians, especially by organizing events and demonstrations against the Zionist aggression on Gaza.
The Ministry also emphasized that the United States of America is a partner in all the crimes committed by the usurping Zionist entity in Palestine through its unlimited support for this entity by providing it with weapons and political support in international forums, especially the Security Council.
It praised the international and popular positions in support of the Palestinians and their just cause. The Foreign Affairs Ministry stressed that the only solution to restore stability to the region and the world lies in a just solution to the Palestinian issue and ending the Zionist occupation, which is the last occupation in history.
The Ministry concluded its statement by emphasizing Yemen's continued support for the Palestinians, especially the naval blockade, military operations and popular outpouring until the Zionist aggression on Gaza stops.
