SANA'A December 12.2022 (Saba) - President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi Al-Mashat chaired on Monday a meeting of the service and social solidarity sector, in the presence of officials of the agencies affiliated with the sector.
In the meeting, President Al-Mashat stressed that the service sector is concerned with moving at a high pace and with everyone's cooperation to ensure the integration of efforts and benefit from the available resources to provide services and projects to the citizens.
Al-Mashat confirmed that the US blockade and aggression against Yemen had a great impact on the infrastructure and services and the interruption of the salaries of the state employees.
"The American blockade was and still is one of the most prominent existing obstacles to the provision of health, electricity, drinking water and roads services."
President Al-Mashat added, "The US-Saudi aggression and blockade on Yemen should not remain an excuse for not carrying out our duty and improving the performance of the institutions and services they provide."
He pointed out that the recent cessation of the scarce support provided by the organizations comes as part of the steps taken by the aggression countries, led by America, to push the country towards further deterioration in services.
President Al-Mashat explained that the renewable energy is one of the solutions, and it can reduce the cost of services and contribute to improving their quality and continuity.
