SANA'A December 14. 2022 (Saba) - President the Supreme Political Council Mahdi Al-Mashat sent on Wednesday a letter of condolence and sympathy on the death of Dr. Abu Bakr sl-Saqqaf, after a life full of giving and serving the country.
In the letter, President al-Mashat praised the merits of the late and his stances biased towards the homeland and the people, pointing out that he used the word against the wars waged by the former regime against the people of Sa'ada province and the oppression that the southern movement was subjected to.
Al-Mashat also hailed Dr. al-Saqqaf's stances against Wahhabism and its extraneous ideas during the 1980s and 1990s, as well as his clear position on the American colonial interventions in the affairs of peoples and countries, and his bias towards the option of resistance.
He pointed out that the deceased was an intellectual personage, who had interests in literary criticism, and gave a lot to the national intellectual movement.
