PARIS August 15. 2024 (Saba) - The French Athletics Federation has suspended runner Mohamed Abdallah Konta, who competed in the 400m race at the 2024 Paris Olympics, for declaring his hatred for "Israel" on social media.

French Sports Minister Emilie Oudea-Castera said on her X account: "The president of the federation confirmed that he has suspended the athlete , referred the matter to the public prosecutor's office and the federation's disciplinary committee."

The Sword of Solomon account on the X platform yesterday referred to some of the "tweets" that Konta published between 2021 and 2024 in which he declared his hatred for "Israel."
