Moscow - Saba: A Russian official considered, on Sunday, that US presidential candidate Donald Trump's claims that he "threatened President Vladimir Putin to strike Moscow" are part of his election campaign.
According to the (Russia Today) website, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said: "I do not want to interfere in the US election campaign, but I believe that the competitors in this race are now focusing on what might influence the voters' whims in their favor."
Lavrov added: "I do not want to comment, but it is clear that this statement was made within the framework of the election campaign."
Earlier, the Wall Street Journal reported that Trump said that he threatened Russian President Vladimir Putin with "strikes on the center of Moscow if he invaded Ukraine."
