London-Saba:
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer expressed his country's deep concern over two laws passed by the Zionist Knesset that prohibit the work of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).
In a statement on Tuesday, Starmer emphasised that the two laws threaten to make UNRWA's vital efforts to assist Palestinians impossible, undermine the overall humanitarian response in Gaza and hinder the provision of essential health and education services in the West Bank.
The British Prime Minister emphasised the need for Israel, in accordance with its international obligations, to ensure that sufficient aid reaches civilians in Gaza.
He noted that the humanitarian situation in Gaza is unacceptable, calling for an immediate ceasefire and a significant increase in humanitarian aid to Gaza.
