The United States and its allies have caused more escalation in the Middle East by supporting the Israeli attack on Iran, Russian Permanent Representative to the UN said late on Monday.
Instead of trying to persuade it to abandon this very dangerous venture, The US and some allies indicated directly and indirectly that Israel had the right to such a response, Vasily Nebenzya added at UNSC session.
They acted irresponsibly, because they deliberately incited a new round of escalation in the Middle East, he told the most powerful body, noting that Washington also provided Israel with intelligence needed for the attacks.
