The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Friday that its forces took control of 12 towns, while the total losses of the Ukrainian army amounted to about 17,000 soldiers during the last week, on various axes of fighting.
In its weekly report, the Russian defense said that during the period from October 26 to November 1, Russian forces were able to carry out 44 intensive strikes, destroying the infrastructure of military airfields and railways used by the Ukrainian armed forces to transport weapons and equipment.
The Ukrainian General Staff's marching control center, production workshops , storage areas for attack drones , ammunition and fuel depots were also targeted, it added.
In the past seven days, Russian forces have liberated a total of 12 cities and towns, mostly in Donetsk.
Seven operational tactical missiles, 26 HIMARS missiles, nine Hammer guided bombs, an S-200 anti-aircraft guided missile modified to hit ground targets, and 815 drones were shot down.
